The Whistled Chorus Our Latest Collection

'The Whistled Chorus' is inspired from an ancient folklore ‘A boy who talks to birds’. The story is about a boy who was blessed to understand the language of birds and how he used this wisdom to change things around him.

We amalgamated the concept into our designs using a unique and classic technique of jewellery making, popularly known as -'Meenakari'. Subtle hues of pastel pink, peach, baby blue and green have been used. We have tried to encapsulate the beauty of Mother Nature in all its essence and present to you our latest collection. Apart from birds & a boy, which are the core of this collection, we have created various new forms like flute, which essentially symbolises music - the universal language , thereby representing a flow of communication between the little birds and the man. We incorporated the other elements such as tree, branches, flowers, and leaves representing the beauty of nature. We have depicted open cages that signify freedom & emphasise on the fact that birds belongs to the sky and not in captivity.

The wings of birds in the ornament pieces depict beautiful fluid movements, which is an integral part of this collection. Moreover we’ve have taken the creative liberty to make different bird forms with pearls which is a not only unique but also imparts a very fresh perspective.

The collection that you shall be witnessing has been meticulously curated over the last two years, the various forms of nature also brought with it it’s creative challenges which are evident in the craft. Each piece has travelled back and forth through the hands of experienced craftsmen who have worked tirelessly on creating this milestone with me. The craft of Meenakari is an ancient one as is evident from our history, and requires high degree of skill and application. The enamellers in Jaipur and Delhi have brought alive this art form of colourings and ornamenting. The challenges were many but our determination was stronger. Each and every piece of this collection looks like a painting, highlighting the connection of the bird-man with his birds around. The planning and detailing of sketches were made to perfection so that the enameller could understand and replicate on the fine jewellery pieces exactly the way we had envisioned.
What you shall witness is a collection that has a number of never seen before jewellery pieces at Ra Abta. From sun glasses to navel pins, beautiful headgears, hairpins, bun accessories, haathphools, body chains, ear cuffs, necklace sets, earrings and toe accessories.

I can envision this collection to be perfect for a day wedding, with a bride dressed up in pastels for the ‘The Day’ or ‘Pre-wedding ceremonies’.
